New managing director at Kone DACH

Alexander Vitt replaced Erik Kahlert as managing director for the region of Germany, Austria and Switzerland (DACH) at Kone on 1 May 2024.

Kahlert now has the role of Senior Vice President Service Business within the Kone Group at the global level, according to the company press release.

Sustainability and digitalisation

Alexander Vitt has been working for Kone for twenty years. During this period, he has worked in various areas and roles in the German-speaking region, the USA and Eastern Europe. Most recently, he was in charge of the Region North within the Kone Dach organisation. In his new position, Vitt is responsible for the development and growth of Kone in Germany, Austria and Switzerland and conducts the management of all three countries.

Alexander Vitt’s goal is to expedite Kone’s growth in the DACH region and the future topics of sustainability and digitalisation. In addition, he would like to elevate other areas with innovation potential. He thanked his predecessor for his seven years of successful work as managing director. “I wish him all the best for his new global role.”
