Early bird and first Call for Papers

News

The 16th Symposium on Lift & Escalator Technologies in UK will take place on 24-25 September 2025. Registration is now open and the organisers have issued the first Call for Papers. Until 30 June an early bird rate of £360 is available.

Symposium 2025 will be held at the Kettering Park Hotel & Spa in Kettering, Northants. Until 30 June an early bird rate of £360 is available.

The event is organised by The Lift and Escalator Symposium Educational Trust, which aims to promote education in lifts, escalators and related technologies. The Symposium is supported by the University of Northampton, the Chartered Institute of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE) and the Lift and Escalator Industry Association (LEIA).

First Call for Papers

Anyone wishing to present a paper at the Lift & Escalator Symposium should first submit an abstract of up to 300 words.

The abstract should include the authors' names, affiliations and email addresses, the title of the paper, the objectives, the methodology used, the main results and the conclusions of the research. Abstracts should not include the name of a product or service: the organisers welcome papers on applied technologies, but "advertorials will not be accepted".

More information: Short abstracts of up to 300 words can be submitted on the website: liftsymposium.org/submit-abstract
