Voltec: Raloe’s new rope home lift

News

The Spanish lift manufacturer Raloe has expanded its portfolio according to the Machine Directive 2006/42 CE and following its hydraulic version Armony, is now launching the electric rope equivalent Voltec.

Home lifts are the ideal solution for overcoming obstacles in residential areas, offices or public buildings. They improve accessibility and mobility for older users and people with mobility restrictions. The demand for home lifts continues to be large.

The new Voltec rope home lift is fitted with a brake on the drive-side traction sheave shaft, to provide users with even more safety. Uncontrolled movements are also prevented in this way.

The home lift is equipped with an evacuation system for emergency rescue, e.g. in the event of a power failure. Voltec operates with single phase grid voltage of 220 V and consumes 0.75 kW. As a result, the electric version is more economical and energy efficient than its hydraulic counterpart. Moreover, there is no risk of oil leaks in the electric version. The plastic-sheathed ropes should guarantee smooth, quiet travel comfort, according to Raloe.

Voltec is available in three sizes on the market. For payloads of 300 kg, 400 kg and 500 kg, the lift needs a shaft head of 2,530 mm and a pit of at least 150 mm or 200 mm for payloads over 400 kg.

Voltec achieves high shaft efficiency by means of maximum exploitation of the shaft floor area. Additional space is saved by the use of a control panel in the door frame. The frequency inverter is accommodated in the shaft. A large control cabinet is also optionally available.

Equipment

Voltec offers various options for additional loads: 0° – 90° – 180° and 270°. The car can be fitted with or without car separation doors. The landing doors are available as hinged doors or automatic sliding doors.

The car was versatile and had almost no restrictions in design; it had a large number of equipment versions, such as painted glass, natural granite floor or socket lighting, the Spanish manufacturer emphasised. Flat and anodized car control panels with displays and all-glass doors round off the programme.

The Voltec home lift can be delivered with a shaft frame for the interior as well as the exterior. All static calculations and certificates are available.
