New Vice President Operations Central Europe

In addition to his previous tasks, Sebastian Wohlleben has assumed the position of Vice President Operations Central Europe.

He will in future be responsible in this role for all of the company’s European plants. Wohlleben will at the same time remain plant manager of the production location for drive technology and global president drives for a transitional period.

Dual course of studies as a mechanical engineer

Wohlleben came into contact with Ziehl-Abegg for the first time in 2007 as part of a school project. After passing his university entrance qualification, he began a dual course of studies as a mechanical engineer at the company. He then began his career in process engineering in the drive technology department. He later completed an MBA degree specialising in production technology at the TU Chemnitz.

Wohlleben rose from team manager to department manager of the drive technology plant. He has been in charge of this plant since June 2022. In April 2024, he in addition assumed global product responsibility for the drives product line.
