Cedes and relayr are entering into a strategic partnership. As a producer of safety light curtains and optoelectronic sensors for lifts, Cedes intends to combine its sensor solutions with relayr’s expertise.
The aim of the partnership was to prepare "pioneering IoT technologies for the lift industry, which improve safety, performance and user-friendliness," according to the press release.
"We’re convinced our innovative solutions will solve the everyday problems of lift users," explained Christian-Erik Thoeny, Cedes CEO. "Moreover, the combination of our optical sensors with the IoT technology of relayr will result in an unparalleled boost in efficiency and lowering of costs."
"We’re very pleased to be cooperating with Cedes to introduce IoT to the lift industry," emphasised Jessica Poliner, CEO of relayr. As a result, the maintenance of lifts could be optimised and new income sources opened up for building owners.
