First “notified body” for Machine Directive
TÜV Süd has been recognised and listed as the worldwide first notified body on the European NANDO website for the new Machine Regulation.

The Board of Directors of Schindler Holding Ltd. has appointed Paolo Compagna, currently Chief Operating Officer, as new CEO, effective April 1, 2025. He will succeed Silvio Napoli (photo), currently Chairman and CEO.
Silvio Napoli will work with Paolo Compagna on the CEO transition until the upcoming General Meeting of Shareholders scheduled for March 25, 2025. According to the press release, after more than 30 years with the company, Silvio Napoli has decided not to stand for re-election to the Board of Directors at the upcoming General Meeting of Shareholders on March 25, 2025, and to pursue new career challenges.
Paolo Compagna has been a member of the Group Executive Committee since 2015, serving as Chief Operating Officer since January 2022 and having been responsible for Europe North prior to that. He joined Schindler in 2010 and held various leadership roles in Germany, including CEO of Schindler Germany. Paolo Compagna holds a degree in electrical engineering from TH Köln, Germany, and a degree in business engineering from BHT, Berlin, Germany.

The Board of Directors thanks Silvio Napoli for "his outstanding contribution over the past three decades. He has left a lasting mark on the company," the press release continues. Among other things, he has led a successful turnaround in a challenging environment over the last three years.
As of April 1, 2025, the Group Executive Committee will be composed of the following members: Paolo Compagna (CEO), Matteo Attrovio (CIO), Danilo Calabrò (Europe South), Donato Carparelli (CTO), Carla De Geyseleer (CFO), Vikén Martarian (Americas and Escalators), Hugo Martinho (Human Resources), Meinolf Pohle (Europe North), Robert Seakins (Asia Pacific), and Daryoush Ziai (China).
