Facial visors developed and donated
Hansen from Haselund has donated the Klinikum Nordfriesland hospital 100 facial visors.
When Klinikum Nordfriesland was preparing for the Corona pandemic, the question how to protect employees doing their work at open counters and practices arose. The hospital received support from the company Hansen from Haselund.
Hansen is not only specialised in light technology, but also produces LED area lights for lift and shop fittings so that all materials were available to quickly create individual acrylic glass protective equipment.
Managing director Martin Hansen was able to offer the hospital mobile personal protective equipment for doctors and nurses just developed by the company: visors made of acrylic glass and PET help to prevent droplet infection during patient treatment. After a brief wearing test by various hospital employees, Klinikum Nordfriesland promptly ordered 400 facial visors that were delivered within two days.
Solidarity in emergencies
Since then, these facial visors have improved the infection protection of the employees in the wards, ambulances and infection wards of the three hospitals. "We’re very grateful to Hansen for its fast development and delivery of this marked improvement in our hospitals’ personal protective equipment," emphasised Stephan Unger, managing director of Klinikum Nordfriesland.
In addition, managing director Hansen decided to donate one hundred of these visors to the hospital. "In emergencies like this, we all have to stand side-by-side and stick together," explained the company head. "The purpose of our donation was to show our solidarity with the doctors, nurses and functional staff, who assist the population every day and expose themselves to a health risk."
