Schmersal Böhnke + Partner and View Elevator cooperation

Schmersal Böhnke + Partner and the Austrian start-up View Elevator have agreed to cooperate in the worldwide distribution of their products for the lift industry.

Both companies also intend to cooperate in the further development of lift systems as well, especially when it comes to digitalisation.

Based in Bergisch Gladbach, Schmersal Böhnke + Partner develops, designs and produces components, controllers and remote diagnosis systems for lifts. The young Austrian company View Elevator is specialised in developing digital systems for lift management and safe, barrier-free use of lifts.

Boost in innovation expected

"We expect the cooperation to produce a boost in innovation in developing digital systems for lift technology," emphasised Dr Andreas Hunscher, head of lift business at the Schmersal Group. The digitalisation of lift technology offers considerable market potential, since it permits operators to achieve efficiency increases for their sometimes decades-old lifts, which are greatly in need of retrofitting."
