Based in the Allgäu region, connected with the world - Mayr Antriebstechnik wishes to underline its commitment to the location in Mauerstetten with its new Communication Centre mayr.com.

At the same time the company reinforces its international orientation. The new building has now been formally opened in the presence of many invited guests.

"We have created a meeting place, a place for direct communication of people with people in the form of the new Communication Centre, by contrast with today's increasingly anonymous communication via the Internet and social media," explained the senior director Fritz Mayr. Consequently, the name "Communication Centre" had been chosen deliberately to distinguish it from a technology or training centre.

Representative new building

"It’s all about the appreciation of direct personal communication, because communication produces stability and creates trust," emphasised Fritz Mayr. The round form of the new building is also supposed to express this understanding of communication. At the opening ceremony, the approximately 140 invited guests from the worlds of politics, business and academia, as well as representatives of the surrounding communities and schools were impressed by the new building.

The company had already put a new assembly and logistics hall into operation in 2017. In his speech, Günther Klingler, managing director of Mayr Antriebstechnik, emphasised stability, reliability, innovation and continuity as the supporting pillars of the company, "Since its establishment in 1897, the company has been securing movement in this world with its innovative products."

Active worldwide in over 60 sectors

The international orientation of Mayr Antriebstechnik was also expressed in the welcome by Yu Wang, managing director of Mayr China in Zhangjiagang near Shanghai. "Mayr Antriebstechnik is the market leader in mechanical drive technology and cooperates with leading international companies."

The family company Mayr Antriebstechnik, established in 1897, manufactures safety brakes, safety couplings and shaft couplings, which can also be found in lifts. The company is active worldwide in over 60 sectors and has a total of 1,200 employees.
