Lödige acquires Northern Elevator

Lödige Industries, a supplier of lift solutions, acquires the British lift installation, repairs and maintenance provider Northern Elevator Limited.

The company and all its employees will henceforth be managed by the British subsidiary Lödige (United Kingdom) Limited while maintaining its own corporate identity.

"By adding Northern Elevators' expertise and solid presence in the north of the country, to Lödige’s own strong base in the South, the two companies together expand their nationwide coverage across the UK", says Lödige. The additional specialist staff and offices shall strengthen the service competence and network for both companies’ customers.

Expansion of capabilities

According to the company, by acquiring Northern Elevator, Lödige Industries is responding to the significant increase of demand for its products in the north of the UK and expands its capabilities for servicing, maintaining and repairing all lift types including passenger lifts.

Across the country, the company is seeing high growth in demand for goods lifts as well, driven by the e-commerce, retail and manufacturing sectors.
