First “notified body” for Machine Directive
TÜV Süd has been recognised and listed as the worldwide first notified body on the European NANDO website for the new Machine Regulation.

For the 25th time, the TOP 100 competition has identified the most innovative small-to-medium-sized companies in Germany. This year, Fritz Kübler GmbH is among these innovation leaders.
That resulted from the analysis of the scientific director of TOP 100, Professor Nikolaus Franke. As the mentor of TOP 100, Ranga Yogeshwar, along with Franke and compamedia, honored the Villingen-Schwenningen company now at the awards ceremony in Ludwigsburg as part of the 5th annual German SME Summit.
Kübler has managed the leap into this innovation elite twice now. During the independent selection process, the company, with 480 employees worldwide, made a particular impression with its ambitious innovation projects.
According to company information, Fritz Kübler GmbH develops, produces, and markets technologically leading position and motion sensors. The family company, founded in 1960, has also made a name for itself in counting and process systems and slip rings.
This medium-sized company runs its innovation projects from its headquarters in Villingen-Schwenningen in the German state of Baden-Wurttemberg. In particular the trend towards Industry 4.0 has opened up tremendous growth potential for the top innovator.
"This is a huge opportunity for us, because even more smart sensors will be needed. This is why we opened our Engineering Solution Center last year at the new Berlin location, where we do continuous improvement of our smart magnetic sensors," explains CEO Lothar Kübler.
