The interlift organisers are pleased: Since the pandemic emergency of national scope has been lifted for Germany as of April 2, the AFAG expects that the interlift 2022 can take place without any restrictions for exhibitors and visitors.
This means: there will be no access restrictions, no compulsory masks and no visitor limitations. The interlift organiser AFAG nevertheless recommends that generally recognised hygiene standards be observed. It is also clear from the explanatory memorandum of the draft law that WHO vaccines must be approved for entry into Germany. This will open the way to Germany and the interlift for vaccinated visitors from non-EU countries explained the AFAG.
The AFAG expects that by lifting all restrictions, interest in attending the interlift will undergo a further increase. Compared to the 2019 cut-off date, the number of preregistrations was 81 percent compared to interlift 2019. “Thus, a good outlook for the approximately 350 exhibitors form 30 countries, who can look forward to being able to present their innovations from 26 – 29 April in the Messe Augsburg,” according to a press release of the organiser.
Interlift 2022 will be more European than last time: 32 percent (2019: 29 percent) of the companies involved will come from Germany, 64 percent (54 percent) from Europe and 4 percent (17 percent) from Asia and America.
"With 30 participating nations, interlift represents the most international platform for lift technology at this time and thus currently offers the best overview of what the world market has to offer," according to the press release of the AFAG. One third of the exhibitors are based in Germany; among the foreign nations, Italy and Turkey are on a par with 18% each, followed by Spain with 6%. A number of joint participations are also on the starting blocks in 2022, according to the Italian associations ANICA and Anacam..
The information available so far from exhibitors at interlift 2022 about new products, innovations, product improvements and new services suggests that miniaturization in the area of control and regulation will continue and will focus primarily on increasingly smaller shafts and less space requirements.
Also unusually high are the reports of new products in the accessibility sector, vertical lift platforms, or home lifts. In the sector of software for the lift industry, new and improved versions for the configuration of elevators are offered. The topic of ropes is also in the focus of suppliers, here some new products can be seen at interlift 2022. Last but not least, the emergency call management sector offers new products and services for the market.
The VFA Forum interlift '22, which accompanies the trade fair, will feature more than 40 specialist presentations from Germany and abroad will deal with the current situation on the international lift market.
Experts will shed light on country-specific markets, present new developments in advancing digitalization and provide information on the increasingly important topic of safety.
In 2019, the exhibitors' evening was already held in the VIP area of the nearby WWK Arena. In 2022, the newly and exclusively designed lounge will again provide the setting for the Lift Experts' Night.
A free shuttle service will conveniently take guests from the trade fair to the WWK Arena and back again. Tickets for Lift Experts' Night (35.00 euros) will be available from the trade fair management at the Augsburg Trade Fair Conference Center from April 26.
