The sensors manufacturer Kübler has been supplying for many years’ encoders to the elevator industry and agreed on development cooperation with Austrian Company Variotech, specialist for elevator electronics.
According to a press release from Kübler Variotech boasts an extensive experience in the elevator industry and has a thorough knowledge of all relevant safety technology requirements. Variotech now contributes this experience within the framework of development cooperation with Kübler.
This newly developed shaft copying system is produced in the Villingen-Schwenningen factory of the Kübler Group and sold worldwide. This SIL3 certified measuring system features in particular high robustness and compactness, says Kübler.
Based on a 100 % slip-free position feedback, it makes from now on additional components such as e.g. magnetic switches in the elevator shaft superfluous: "In addition to installation and maintenance time savings, this mainly also reduces the overall costs of the elevator plant."
