Assembly-friendly shaft wall cladding
Stingl has developed a product to meet the requirements of EN81-20 5.2.5.3.1: an assembly-friendly shaft wall cladding made of flame-resistant rigid foam panels.
It also meets the requirements for shaft protection according to EN 81-20 5.2.1.8. Compared to sheet metal solutions, the lightweight elements are easier to handle, emphasised Stingl.
Panel thicknesses of 60 and 100 mm are available, each in the dimensions 1250x600 mm. If necessary, the panels can be cut to the desired size with a suitable knife/saw on site.
Stingl provides a planning tool
Photo: © StinglAttaching the rigid foam panels to the shaft wall is quick and easy with suitable special metal brackets or a likewise flame-retardant façade glue. To meet the requirements of the standard, elements can also be glued on top of each other.
The elements are normally only needed in the area of the door width dimension, not across the entire shaft width. Furthermore, Stingl provides a planning tool in the form of an Excel file. This makes it possible to identify quickly the rigid foam elements and attachment material needed for the corresponding project.
