The Fédération des Ascenseurs (FAS) is pleading for the shutdowns to be postponed for at least two years.

From November 2016 they are to transport the members of the audience to the "Plaza” viewing platform. From here there is a fascinating view of Hamburg, the harbour and the Elbe. The overall complex will open in January 2017.
