First “notified body” for Machine Directive
TÜV Süd has been recognised and listed as the worldwide first notified body on the European NANDO website for the new Machine Regulation.
Inclinometers are used to measure the horizontal position of an operator basket in fire brigade vehicles or work platforms, for vehicle levelling in agricultural and forestry machines, the dynamic measurement of the working angle of the placing boom in construction machines for tunnels and mining and heliostats in the solar industry.
Kübler has for years been one of the leading manufacturers of position and movement sensors in the field of mobile automation. The portfolio for this sector has now been rounded off with a newly developed inclinometer.
The requirements for sensors in this industry are always the same: precise, sturdy and durable. This led to the new Kübler inclinometers. The high protection rating IP67 and IP69k, the wide temperature range of -40°C to +85°C, great shock resistance up to 100 kg and vibration resistance up to 10 g are the keys to their flawless external deployment. They are ideally suitable for mobile automation and reliable and durable deployment.
The new inclinometers can measure two-dimensional inclinations in the measurement range ±85° or single dimensional inclinations up to 360°. Their resolution amounts to 0.01° and at a temperature of 25°C absolute precision of ±0.4° is possible. The measuring principle is capacitive or MEMS.
Thanks to individually parameterised filter settings using CANopen, the inclinometers can be adjusted effortlessly to the particular application.
The IN88 inclinometers are fitted with the CANopen interface, one of the most common interfaces in mobile automation. The inclinometers are available in 1 x M12 plug or 2 x M12 plug versions. The power supply is 10…30 V DC. A Modbus version is available in addition. The IN81 inclinometers are an analogue version with pre-set and teach functions. Ideal for integration in the application.
Due to the flat design of 80 mm x 60 mm x 23 mm, the inclinometers are not just especially easy to fit, they can also be stacked on top of each other and act as a redundant solution. The inclinometers are E1 and UL-certified.
