TK Elevator moves into new headquarters
From Ruhr to Rhine: as of this week, the first employees of TK Elevator are moving into the new headquarters in the immediate vicinity of Düsseldorf Airport.
Around 400 employees of the head office, as well as two operational entities, move into "bright, spacious and flexible premises on more than 9,000 square meters of office space, which are designed and furnished according to the most modern aspects," says TK Elevator.
The workspaces are complemented by a spacious 500-square-meter outdoor area in the courtyard. In addition, charging stations for e-bikes and e-cars are provided in the future, as well as a pilot project for bike sharing.
The company emphasizes that great importance is also paid to sustainability and energy saving in the building. For example, the building's lighting control system is precisely adapted to the prevailing daylight. Motion detectors and dimming of the lights in the evening are intended to ensure energy savings. Much of the selected furniture is sustainably produced and contains recycled materials.
Latest digital elevator systems
"Of course, the building is equipped with the latest digital elevator systems," TK Elevator wrote in a press release. Several barrier-free units of the evolution 300 model included not only custom cabin interiors and a multimedia screen in the control panel, but also the "Agile Terminal for touchless-experience in the elevator itself" and the cloud-based Max system. In addition, Insight Monitoring offers the possibility of real-time monitoring and remote control.
Due to the current situation, in which a large proportion of employees work on a mobile basis, TK Elevator expects the complete move to take until May. All employees moving in will be offered the opportunity for Covid testing on a daily basis.
