Ziehl-Abegg: New sales director drive technology

Oliver Vahsen is now in charge of sales for the drive technology segment at Ziehl-Abegg. The qualified engineer has more than ten years of sales experience at the motor manufacturer based in Künzelsau (Germany).

Drive technology at the family company covers electric motors for lifts, CT scanners and underwater robots. Vahsen got to know these products in 2010. He joined the company in that year as area sales manager and looked after customers in the regions Asia, the Middle East and Eastern Europe.

Two apprenticeships completed

After five years, he moved to Ziehl-Abegg Automotive as global account manager. "I’m looking forward to now being able to shape all of the sales for the drive technology segment," the 42-year old explained.

Vahsen completed two apprenticeships, on the one hand as refrigeration plant technician at the Jülich Research Centre and as energy electronics specialist at RWE. After this, he completed a degree in supply engineering specialising in building technology at the Westfälische Hochschule (previously Gelsenkirchen Polytechnic).
