The Künzelsau-based industrial company Ziehl-Abegg has been honoured with the ‘Best Managed Companies Award’ 2024. The Best Managed Companies programme is a competition and seal of quality for successful medium-sized companies.

The ‘Best Managed Companies Award’ was created by Deloitte and is presented in more than 45 countries. Deloitte is a global management and strategy consultancy and auditing company. In addition to Deloitte, UBS, the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung and the Federation of German Industries (BDI) honour the best-managed medium-sized companies in Germany. This year, 32 companies were honoured.

As part of the application process, the participating companies are assessed for their excellence in the following four core areas of the BMC evaluation framework: strategy, productivity and innovation, culture and commitment, and governance and finance. A company is recognised as a Best Managed Company if it can demonstrate high performance in all four areas.

"Sustainable corporate governance"

"The award underlines the fact that we are future-oriented and have sustainable corporate management", says Dr Marc Wucherer, CEO of Ziehl-Abegg, a global manufacturer of fans for ventilation and air-conditioning technology and drive motors for lifts.

Ziehl-Abegg and the other award-winning companies are a strong foundation of our economy. They are ‘doers’, innovation leaders and are committed to sustainable corporate management. These companies look far into the future and don't just think from quarter to quarter. This is precisely why they have earned their Best Managed Company award,’ explains Markus Seiz, Director at Deloitte Private and head of the Best Managed Companies programme.
