First “notified body” for Machine Directive
TÜV Süd has been recognised and listed as the worldwide first notified body on the European NANDO website for the new Machine Regulation.
March 2019
thyssenkrupp Elevator is launching two new product families for low and medium-height buildings on the European market: "synergy" and "evolution".
Both product families are to be energy-efficient and provide maximum space exploitation to "improve urban mobility". According to the company, it was reacting to a rising demand for tailor-made mobility solutions in the European and African market.
The Group aimed to optimise the user experience in terms of comfort and safety in lift solutions in low and medium-height residential and business buildings with the two new product families.
The completely redesigned synergy and evolution series each have three models - 100/200/300. They have new technical features, such as increased efficiency in the use of shafts and greater sustainability.
In addition, thyssenkrupp Elevator has developed three different design lines, oriented towards preferences in the respective markets. High quality materials, such as different stainless steel varieties, laminates and shaded glass have been used, making a multitude of configuration options possible.
The product family evolution is suitable above all for commercially used buildings. The evolution 100 model has a capacity of up to 1600 kg and a travel speed of 1.6 m/s. It is a good choice as a cost-effective solution for low and medium-height business buildings with medium usage.
The evolution 200 model is intended to provide a high level of comfort, especially for medium-height commercial structures. Whether a new lift or modernisation: the model can be adjusted to the shaft in the building down to the last millimetre. Even at full power, the evolution 200 is intended to run very quietly and with hardly any vibrations. The degree of precision in stopping is +/- 1 mm, guaranteeing convenient and safe entry.
While the evolution 200 manages up to 2.50 m/s and loads of up to 2500 kg, the 300 model is suitable for loads of up to 4000 kg at the same speed. "This makes it a specialist for especially hard work in medium-height buildings – and for customers with particular high expectations in terms of power and individual design," explained thyssenkrupp Elevator.
The synergy product family also has the typical performance features. The company emphasised that the new synergy 100 provided an "especially attractive option" in the area of functional residential building. This was tremendously important in buildings with narrow lift shafts and little room at the upper and lower shaft end, especially in countries like Germany.
The synergy 200 model could be installed without any problems, both in new buildings as well as in the modernisation of residential buildings. The car size could be varied and as a result permitted maximum exploitation of the room available in the shaft.
Finally, synergy 300 was also a good fit for medium-intensity commercial assignments and therefore provided "a real cost advantage" for institutions like hospitals, schools or hotels.
All of the models could transport up to 1000 kg; synergy 200 and 300 managed a top speed of 1.75 m/s, the model 100 1 m/s. Just like the evolution models, synergy 100 and 200 were ideal for residential areas, while the 300 model could also be installed for commercial purposes.
According to thyssenkrupp Elevator, both product families would benefit from the predictive maintenance solution Max, which recorded relevant data, "This means greatly reduced downtimes."
