First “notified body” for Machine Directive
TÜV Süd has been recognised and listed as the worldwide first notified body on the European NANDO website for the new Machine Regulation.

There have been personnel changes at the Association of Swiss Lift Companies (VSA). After serving 20 years, Christian Gantenbein (Lift AG) has resigned from the Board of Management.
"However, he will continue to make an active contribution as a member of our Association," explained Silvia Glaus-Zinder, VSA managing director. Tobias Stelzer has been assigned to other duties within Europe by his employer Otis. He had been a member of the Board of Management for six years.
Marc Ruffieux (Otis SA) will succeed Tobias Stelzer as vice president. Michel Rothenbühler (Norm Aufzüge AG) will take the place of Christian Gantenbein in the Board of Management. Both were elected unanimously to their offices by the Association meeting. Patrick Hess (Schindler Aufzüge AG) will remain chairman. Béatrice Lüthi (Lüthi-Aufzuge AG) and Bernhard Emch (EMCH Aufzüge AG) will likewise serve further terms in the Board of Management.
During their meeting, the Association members decided that the Board of Management could be expanded by one seat. "Consequently, with the likewise unanimous election of Gil Menétrey (Ascenseurs Menétrey SA), an SME representative from Western Switerzland has also been recruited for this task," according go Silvia Glaus-Zinder.
The Association meeting will reconvene in 2027 for the next scheduled election of the Board of Management.
