"We can do something that you will soon be able to do too and are inaugurating a new chapter in the lift industry," explained Martin Platt, managing director of Langer & Laumann.
The goal: a door controller that can be connected to the existing bus controller without additional work.
Parameter assignment or replacing components is difficult to perform in the Thyssen F5/F9/F12 door controllers. In addition, Otis uses differing drive versions in the door controllers of the DCSS series and AT120. Modernisation of these doors is only possible with a great deal of effort – if it were not for the new product group "Customer Connection System" from Langer & Laumann.
"The concept is brilliant," the company emphasised. The "Customer Connection System" is a door controller that can be connected to the existing bus controller without additional work. The old plug is simply connected to the TSG V4. This creates an open system, where it is possible to carry out adjustments and diagnoses on the doors.
"With the ‘Customer Connection System’ the electrical part of modernisation can also be safely handled by fitters without perfect electrical know-how and with a great saving of time," Martin Platt explained.
To make things as simple as possible on the building site for all fitters, it was not just possible to use ready-to-connect solutions for Otis and Thyssen door controllers, "The same naturally applies to many other manufacturers too."
