Langer & Laumann have now added a function to the TSG V4 door controller. As a result, the car door now automatically unlocks when the car arrives at the stop.
The TSG V4 still complies with the corresponding standard since the door leaf does not open at the same time but is only unlocked.
Consequently, the TSG V4 continues to be line with the requirements of DIN EN 81-20 regarding car door interlocks. This included the option of continuing to use the existing car door interlock via the skate although a gearless motor has been removed and replaced with a geared motor.
Gearless motors are finding increasing use in modern car doors these days. Due to the lack of self-locking of these motors, the skate does not need much spring tension to open it in the unlocking zone and in this way unlock the door. This makes it possible to open the car door with little force both from inside as well as from outside in accordance with DIN EN 81-20.
This functionality could be lost during modernisation of the door drive. If eliminated, there is a risk of the car door remaining locked in the unlocking zone, which would result in an infringement of DIN EN 81-20.
When modernising the car door, it can be adjusted to the existing door mechanism through simple parameterisation. This ensures that the previously available car door interlocking is preserved in full.
