Thyssenkrupp Elevator – now TK Elevator – is integrating its cloud-based digital platform "Max" with immediate effect into the product port-folio of lift and escalator systems. From now on all new installations are to be “Max-ready”.
"One of the most effective instruments is the smart analysis of large data quantities. This is what we use Max for – as the basis for digital products and services, such as touchless solutions or intelligent monitoring systems," revealed Peter Walker, CEO Thyssenkrupp Elevator.
Advanced algorithms calculate the probability of the need for maintenance and replacing parts. This should allow technicians to spot defects or problems even before they occur and prevent lift shutdowns, according to Thyssenkrupp Elevator.
New lifts had already been delivered in particular countries with "Max". Previously, the focus had been on predictive maintenance, thyssenkrupp Elevator noted. Thanks to the expansion of the "Max" platform and new interfaces, completely new digital products and services had become comprehensively realisable, which provoidedcustomers with clear added value.
"Max" was launched in 2015 and according to the company is the first digitally based cloud solution in the entire lift sector that permits analysing real time data from networked lifts and escalators. "Max" is intended to provide building owners with transparent status reports on the performance of lifts and escalators.
