Dekra Digital has introduced an app for digital analysis of lifts. “Lift Check” is intended to enable users to carry out detailed measurements in lifts per smartphone – irrespective of lift type and manufacturer.
"You get a comprehensive measurement report on the condition of a lift with just one trip," explained Dekra Digital, a subsidiary of the Dekra Group. The app was developed jointly with TK Elevator. "Lift Check" is available for iOS and Android.
The app was designed jointly together with Dekra Automobil by Dekra Digital and further developed in cooperation with TK Elevator. As part of the development partnership, the app was tried out in the test tower in Rottweil. This was then followed by a pilot phase with engineers and almost 500 measurements of TK Elevator on four continents.
The app was adjusted to the circumstances of the on-site lift tests, according to the press release of Dekra. Currently, the application is gradually being used by TK Elevator – in future, this is to occur worldwide.
"Lift Check" is supposed to supply meaningful measurement reports with the aid of sensors built into smartphones. During the lift trip, while the smartphone is lying on the floor of the lift car, vibrations, noises, speed and the rail running of the lift are measured. A detailed measurement on travel quality is produced within a few minutes and provided to the user, according to Dekra Digital.
