Certification in the service of safety
Meiller’s Premius K4i and S4i lifting doors now feature explosion protection according to ATEX. As a result, they offer a high degree of safety in corrosive and explosive environments.
The ATEX certification is the response of the Munich component manufacturer Meiller to the advanced safety requirements of the chemical and petrochemical processing industries with their corrosive and explosive environments and the specific requirements of these sectors.
The use of high grade stainless steel of various qualities is intended to guarantee state-of-the-art corrosion protection and ensure that the Premius lifting doors preserve their functionality and reliability even under extreme conditions. “Even in environments with explosive air compounds, they meet the highest safety standards. All components are designed to ensure they can generate neither frictional heat nor impact sparks,” Meiller assured.
Safety – efficiency – operating comfort

The MiDrive drive concept takes care of intuitive start-up and control while the minimisation of mechanical wearing parts maximised the products’ maintenance-friendliness and service life. The availability and high quality technical design were intended to ensure almost one-hundred percent availability of the doors, Runck emphasised.
